The Right Ships: The fleet consists entirely of 5th Generation high capacity LNG Carriers with modern two stroke engines, offering reduction in transportation costs and environmental impact.
Five highly developed LNG vessels have been / are being currently built. Two 173,400 cbm ME-GI No.96-GW membrane LNG vessels in the well known DSME shipyard at Okpo S. Korea; Minerva Psara and Minerva Limnos, as well as three 174,000 cbm XDF Mark III FLEX PLUS membrane LNG vessels in the World Class SHI Shipyard; Minerva Kalymnos, Minerva Chios and Minerva Amorgos.
The vessels are equipped with state-of-the-art, tri-fuel, two-stroke, ME-GI or XDF engines utilising boil off gas from cargo tanks as fuel. They achieve a thermal efficiency of over 50% being on the top of the marine engine efficiency on the market today, while reducing CO2, NOX and SOX and particulate emissions especially when operating in gas mode. At 25% better efficiency than the previous generation of TFDE technology and combined with the highly advanced insulation are surely the most environmentally friendly and efficient way to transfer LNG at sea. All vessels are complimented by the wisely chosen Reliq. systems that when combined with the advanced GTT Cargo Containment:
they will always perform in the most optimum and operationally flexible way, while achieving the maximum cargo savings and the minimum environmental impact, suiting the needs of the most demanding customers and complying with the strictest regulations.
